Matthew Amey, has spoken on After The Event Insurance and Litigation Funding at Central Law Training and various legal seminars and also regularly contributes to various legal publications including the Law Society's 'Litigation Funding' magazine. Following on from Emmanuel Gilbert, Matthew wrote the insurance section for the Law Society's "Conditional Fees - A Survival Guide (3rd Edition)". Having obtained his Law Degree, Matthew began his insurance career in the Before the Event insurance market. Matthew later became an After the Event Insurance underwriter during which time he developed a particular interest in Commercial After the Event Insurance and International Arbitration. Matthew joined The Judge in 2005.

Matthew is a strong believer in innovation and will always seek to find a creative solution to a problem if the obvious answer isn’t readily available.

James Delaney Having achieved a Masters in Law, James began his career in Commercial Before the Event Litigation Insurance. In 2000 James made the transition to After the Event Insurance as an ATE Underwriter. James left his position as senior After the Event Insurance underwriter in 2005 when he joined the team at TheJudge. James is responsible for the Commercial Litigation team at TheJudge.
James is responsible for broking some of highest indemnity cases ever written in the industry and is frequently engaged by top 30 dispute resolution teams to secure appropriate risk transfer terms for their clients. James also regularly writes for various legal publications including; The Lawyer, Legal Week, Litigation Funding, Commercial Litigation Journal as well as national papers such as the Financial Times.
James is passionate about providing a no nonsense approach to advice and guidance to all clients that engage his services.

Emmanuel Gilbert has over 20 years of insurance experience. He has written extensively on After The Event Insurance (ATE), including the insurance section for the Law Society's 'must have' book, "Conditional Fees - A Survival Guide (2nd Edition)". He has also spoken regularly on After the Event Insurance, notably at variety of national conferences both in respect of civil and commercial litigation risk transfer solutions.

Emma Knights, is the former business development manager at a leading legal expenses insurer, Emma is one of the longest established and most experienced players in the legal risk transfer sector. Having obtained her LLM Emma’s career began in legal expenses insurance and progressed into after the event insurance where Emma was a pioneer in product development. Emma has a particular specialism in insolvency and corporate recovery and is well known to many leading insolvency lawyers as well as insolvency practitioners.

James Blick, following his law degree and LPC James joined a leading legal expenses insurer where he started his career as a cost negotiator before quickly moving into the technical legal claims team where he excelled. James joined TheJudge in July 2008 as a commercial risk transfer broker. James works with a number of leading city law firms and has a growing reputation for broking creative solutions to complex legal cases.

TheJudge also has large broking team responsible for broking individual case referrals across the spectrum of litigation.
